Full speed ahead for power electronics innovation
The 4th Power Electronics International Conference and Exhibition takes place in Brussels from the 21st-22nd April. While AI and the data centre power challenge is the main industry focus of the moment, automotive, renewables and the rise of SiC and GaN are other key topics – all of which contribute to a vibrant power electronics sector.
Reflecting these industry priorities, the conference will focus on four key themes:
- Putting the Automotive Industry in Pole Position
- Ensuring a Renewable, Sustainable Future
- Delivering AI-driven Data Centre Densification
- Engineering Innovation with WBG Devices, Circuits and Materials
Day 1 features a packed automotive programme, followed by an in-depth look at WBG, circuit and material innovations.
For the morning’s automotive session, a stellar line up of speakers from Cissoid, GlobalFoundries, Texas Instruments, Cambridge GaN, Arrow Electronics, Allegro Microsystems, onsemi and PINK will cover some of the most recent innovations in power electronics in both the electric vehicle and wider automotive sector.
In the afternoon, high level presentations will be given by Navitas, Tektronix, Cosmis, Advantest, STMicroelectronics, Renesas, QPT, IDTechEx and Coherent, with GaN, SiC and testing being the main focus areas.
Day 2 starts with the much-anticipated AI data centre session, with leading industry players from STMicroelectronics, Yole Group, Navitas, Renesas, Rohm, Ferric, Vicor, Infineon and imec addressing the ways in which power electronics needs to develop to enable the high-density compute requirements of AI.
Hitachi Energy and Diamfab round off the conference with a timely look at the renewable energy sector – as global electrification programmes develop at pace.
The Power Electronics International Conference is co-located with Compound Semiconductor, Photonic Integrated Circuits and, for the first time, Advanced Packaging conferences under the ANGELTECH umbrella, providing an unmissable learning opportunity across the whole of the semiconductor supply chain.
