China's Silan Power raises $300 million
Chinese company Silan Power (also known as Xinlian Power) has announced a Series C round of approximately $300m led by the China Mobile Chain Leader Fund. Inspur Electronic Information, Yuanjing Capital, Sinopec Hydrogen Energy Fund, and NAURA Nove Capital also took part.
The money will fund expansion of SiC and GaN power device production lines, with a focus on 800V high-voltage direct current power supply and solid-state transformers for AI data centres.
The company (a subsidiary of Silan Integration) operates China's first 8-inch SiC MOSFET line, covering products across the 650V to 3300V range, with 3300V devices already sent to customers for validation.
Its early core business targeted high-voltage automotive power applications such as main traction inverters and on-board chargers for new energy vehicles, and it is reported to have achieved volume delivery of automotive-grade SiC modules.
