Infineon wins further patent case against Innoscience

News
Munich court rules in favour of Infineon in another GaN infringment case

On the 3rd July 2026, the District Court Munich, Germany ruled in favour of Infineon Technologies in another patent infringement case concerning GaN technology between Infineon and Innoscience.

The case concerns the unauthorised use of GaN technologies patented by Infineon by the Chinese company Innoscience.

With these rulings, the court prohibits Innoscience from importing, selling, and marketing patent-infringing products in Germany. Furthermore, the court has ordered Innoscience to pay damages to Infineon.

Infineon says this judgement marks another legal defeat for Innoscience in a series of court cases, each of which found that Innoscience’s products infringe Infineon’s patents.

Prior rulings include the decisions against Innoscience just recently from June 18, 2026, and from August 1, 2025, in earlier German proceedings .

On May 7, the Full Commission of the US International Trade Commission (ITC) found that Innoscience had infringed an Infineon patent in the field of GaN technology. Additional proceedings regarding the infringement of other Infineon patents are pending in the US.

Innoscience has a different view on infringment proceedings.
